Funeral services for Ms. Willie Jean Thornton will be held at 2 PM Monday, October 2, 2017 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John E. Stephens officiating.
Interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in the Johnsonville Community.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM Monday til time for service at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services.
Ms. Thornton, 81, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS.
She was a teacher and Baptist by faith. Ms. Thornton loved her family, sports and gaming.
Preceded in death:
Parents, Major T. Matthews and Luva Dee Cumberland Matthews;
Sister, Cindy Matthews and Ganell Parker.
Survivors:
Sons, Jim Latham (Lillian) of Shuqualak and John Thirl Latham (Lynn) of Navarre, FL;
Brother, Elwood Matthews of Pine Bluff, AR; .
(5) Grandchildren;
(6) Great-Grandchildren; Several aunts and uncles.
