LOVING COUNTY, NM - Edgar Garcia, 24, of Odessa, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 in Loving County, New Mexico. He was born Tuesday, April 20, 1993 in Odessa, TX to Juana and George Garcia. He worked as a welder for Azteca Fabrication. Edgar was a happy young man who had many friends. His dream was to play drums for a Norteño band and thanks to Perla del Desierto for giving him the opportunity to accomplish his dreams. He adored his two girls, Sophie and Ileana and all of his nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his mother: Juana Gonzalez; his father: George Garcia and wife Nereyda; two daughters: Ileana and Sophia Garcia; one brother: George Garcia Jr. and wife Yvette; one sister: Laura Garcia and husband Derek; maternal grandparents: Jose Gonzalez and Carmen Rivas; step-brothers: Adrian Gabaldon and wife Dennise, Auden Gabaldon and wife Francia, Adolfo Gabaldon and Alexis Gabaldon; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Maria Lopez and Jose Carrillo.

Rosary will be held 7:00 PM, Monday, October 2, 2017 at Acres West 24 Hour Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
