Mrs. Wilma M. Marsh, 98, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday January 2, 2017 at Oak Woods Manor in La Porte, IN.

She was born August 30, 1917 in Kingsbury, Indiana, the daughter of John Jacob Sigel and Eva (Bluhm) Sigel.

Wilma worked in food service for several years. She ran Wilma's Cafe' and the food line at Kingsbury Ordinance Plant. Wilma managed the family farm for 60 years. She was a member of Tracy United Methodist Church, UMYF counselor, and Choir director. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star, Farm Bureau, Master Gardeners, and Extension Homemakers.

On September 26, 1946, in the Tracy Methodist Church she married Paul Bryant Marsh who preceded in death on March 19, 1955.

She is survived by her two sons, eleven grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a dear friend who was also her caregiver.

Wilma was preceded in death by her two step-daughters, Janet Bales, and Betty McIntosh, a grandchild, Jeff Bales, a brother, Joseph A. Sigel, and a sister, Florence E. Ault.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, January 5, 2017, from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Friday,January 6, 2017, 9:30 am until time of the service at the Tracy United Methodist Church. A life celebration will be held at the church, Friday January 6, 2017 at 10:30 am with Pastor Ann Dill officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery, Kingsbury, Indiana.
