Douglas Reed Warren, Sr., 62, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday. Mr. Warren was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Employed at Redstone Arsenal, he had a combined government service time of over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Beuna Warren; and grandson, Eden Reed Warren.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah “Debbie” Warren; son, Douglas “D.J.” Reed Warren, Jr. (Hillary); daughters, Shawna Renee Hillis (Tony), and Brandalyn “Brandy” Fox (John); grandchildren, Curtis Roth, Alyson Roth, Gina Saladino, Abigail Warren, Colten Fox, Ethan Fox, and Austin Fox; sisters, Lori Wilson (Eddie), Karin Berrick (Walter), and Lisa Towne (Jerry); uncle, Otis Leon Lemley (JoAnne); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Doug was a passionate Alabama football fan and belonged to the Alabama Tide Pride, and was a Tennessee Titans fan. In celebration of Doug’s life, you may wear your game day attire, if you so desire. ROLL TIDE ROLL!
