Steven Shaw, age 27 of Nevada, TX, passed away March 7, 2017. He was born July 21, 1989, in Garland, TX, to Michael and Paula (Hubacek) Shaw. Steven was a fan of hockey and he enjoyed outdoor sports including backpacking and camping, rock climbing, fishing, snowboarding, and especially cookouts with friends and family. His family and friends meant everything to Steven and he had a gift of being able to make them laugh and feel comfortable. He will be dearly missed.
Steven is survived by his parents: Mike and Paula Shaw; sisters: Courtney Shaw and Jennifer Gilliland; and grandmother: Eileen Shaw. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: L.E. Shaw, John and Doris Hubacek.
Funeral mass will be 10:30am Monday, March 13, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richardson, TX, with Fr. Juan Carlos Marin officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rowlett Chapel Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00pm.
