Alice Mabel (Wool) Lombard was born on 17 Jun 1887 in Essex, VT, the eldest child of Lewis Michael & Kate Mae (Paine) Wool. Her father also spelled his name Louis. And her mother also was sometimes known as Catherine.

Alice converted to the Seventh-day Adventist religion around WWI and remained a faithful member of this Christian denomination until her death. Her husband, born in Italy to a Roman Catholic family, also converted a year after Alice to the Seventh-day Adventist faith and remained a faithful follower until his death.

For many years she taught in the children's Sabbath school (cradle roll division and/or kindergarten division) at the Village Church of SDAs in South Lancaster, MA.
