Mr. Danny Wayne Harrison, age 68, of North Tazewell, VA passed away unexpectedly Thursday September 28, 2017 in a Tazewell, VA hospital from an apparent heart attack.
Born at Worth, WV he was the son of the late Robert and Wilma Harrison. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran. He was a retired disabled coal miner and a member of the U.M.W.A. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Danny is survived by his loving wife Teresa Street Harrison; two children Theresa Stacy & husband Billy and Connie Patton & husband David; Step Son John Hayes; grandchildren Ben Kinser, Hailey Hatfield, Bella Hayes and Zyra Stacy; three Brothers Robert M. (Bob) Harrison & wife Judy, Kenneth Lee Harrison & wife Mary and James Stanley Harrison & wife Kathy; one sister Brenda J. Turpin & husband Harold; father in law Jerry C. Street and Wife Betty; mother in law Gail E. Breeding and husband Gerald; brother in law Kenneth Street & wife Christy and several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Danny Wayne Harrison will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Monday October 2, 2017 at the Tazewell Family Worship Center at 112 Faith St. Tazewell, VA with Pastor Lawrence Hayes officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Monday at Tazewell Family Worship Center.
Burial and Military Graveside Rites will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday October 3, 2017 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 5550 Bagging Plant Rd., Dublin, VA. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Tazewell Family Worship Center 112 Faith Street, Tazewell, VA 24630.
