He was born March 26, 1963 in Ralla, Missouri to Maxine and the late James Russell Beesley Sr.
He married Amy Shafran on January 27, 1984 in St. Christopher Catholic Church, Marysville.
James worked at Chrysler Engine Plant for many years and was also employed as a cook at the Four Star Restaurant off and on for years, a job that he loved. He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church.
James enjoyed spending time with his wife and kids, especially watching his sons grow up and being able to help them in any way he could. He loved family vacations, helping others, cooking, working in the yard, and watching TV. James always had a positive attitude that he carried right to the end. He will be deeply missed by all his family.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Amy; three compassionate and caring sons who helped him to the end and that he loved so much, James Russell Beesley III and fiance' Stefanie Sysounthone; Nicholas Ryan Beesley and Andrew Frank Beesley; his mother, Maxine (Don) Harrison; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Shafran; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lynn and Jack Hall, Bernie and Brenda Shafran, Sue Mason, Cathy and Gerry Brown, Mary and Bruce Simmons, John Shafran and Karen Christner, Tom and Lynne Shafran, Bob and Becki Shafran, and Carol Shafran; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; dear friends, Jim Opferman and Kirk Dingman; his sons' friends who he considered his own; and all his friends at the restaurant.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Russell Beesley Sr. and his father-in-law, Bernard F. Shafran.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday in the Marysville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Memorials may be made to the family.
