Mr. Jimmy Lamar “Jim” Ballinger, age 68, of Menlo passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Ballinger was born January 10, 1949 to the late Allen and Mildred Holbrook Ballinger. He was a former truck driver with WSN.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Ballinger, brother, Buddy Ballinger, granddaughter, Mavity Diane Morgan Helms and son-in-law, Jonathon Helms.

Mr. Ballinger is survived by his sons Jerry and Lagena Ballinger, Jimmy and Josephine Ballinger, daughter, Teri Ballinger Helms, brothers and sisters, Jerome and Mary Rhodes, Pete Ballinger, Hoyt and Alice Ballinger, Sybil and Bill Dover, Charles Ballinger, Ray and Marsha Ballinger, Linda and Art Fontana, Randy and Ginny Ballinger, Frances Ballinger, Eddie Ballinger, 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Ballinger will be at 11:00 am Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his nephews.

Mr. Ballinger will be in-state and the family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
