She was preceded in death by two sons, Garry Ward and Darrell Ward; one granddaughter, Paige Ward; her parents; two brothers, J.B. Montgomery and Ray Montgomery; and one sister, Erma Jean Wilson.
Maxine was a member of Mountain Pine First Assembly of God. She was a homemaker and also worked for the Mountain Pine School District, where she cooked for many years.
She is survived by her husband, of 68 years, Doyce Ward of Mountain Pine; two daughters-in-law and one son-in-law; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters and one brother-in-law; nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends.
