Samuel M. Hunter, 71 of Harrisburg, entered eternal life September 24, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elizabeth Roach Hunter; and son, Kevin Hunter. A graduate of Steelton-Highspire High School, Class of 1966, he served honorably in the U. S. Army. He retired from PA Dept. of Transportation and as an Engineer from Union #542. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and its Van Ministry.

Surviving are his loving family: wife, Martha Hunter; daughters, Tammy Daniels and Nyette Hunter; grandson, Ja`Ohn Hunter; great-niece, Iris Rodriguez; brothers, Roosevelt, Richard, Darwin, Christopher and Gabriel Daniels; sisters, Felita Cash and Gina Martin; stepsister, Marsha Wright; stepbrother, Howard Murray; 4 brothers-in-law, 7 sisters-in-law, aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Hunter's life will be celebrated at 12 Noon, Monday, October 2nd, at his church, 100 Livingston Street, Steelton, with viewing/visitation 10 A.M. – 12 Noon. Interment will be Tuesday, October 3rd, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
