Lela Marjorie Wilson, 78, of Beaumont, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017. Lela was an active member of Jones Memorial Church of God in Christ.
Funeral will be Saturday, September 30, 2017. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Home-going celebration at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 3920 W. Cardinal Drive, Beaumont, TX. Entombment will be in Live Oak Memorial Park under the direction of Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel. A lifelong resident of Beaumont, Lela was a retired Beaumont Independent School District educator. She was also a top-tier bridge player in both the American Bridge Association and American Contract Bridge League. Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Wilson III (Mary), Keith Wilson, William Wilson Sr. (Dephane), all of Beaumont; daughters, Eloise Walker, and Lenore Burton (Richard), also of Beaumont; fifteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
