Born February 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Florence (Storm) Johnson.
She attended Ellicott City High School. Betty was the loving wife of the late Clarence Jett. Together they shared 35 years of marriage.
Betty made a career for herself in the banking industry being employed at Commercial and Famer’s Bank for more than 25 years.
She was a member of the Second English Lutheran Church in Baltimore. Since her recent move to Hanover, Betty was attending St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on Broadway.
Over the years, Betty enjoyed her 2 furry companions Candy and Jett; 2 Yorkshire Terriers. She also enjoyed bowling, baking, and playing cards with her family and friends; in which she was quite competitive with her trusty Book of Hoyle at her side. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Heacock of Ellicott City, her brother Warren Johnson of Smithsburg, and her son Bruce Jett of Baltimore.
