Edward Ell, Sr. is the son of Rosie Ell and Anthony Howell, from St. Louis, Missouri. At age 17, he was tragically killed in a drive by shooting. He was the only child of his mother's. But had several other siblings on his father's side. He had a great relationship with his big sister, Elizabeth "Liz" Howell. He loved his grandmother, Louis White-Ell very much and often mourned her death. She died 7 years before he was killed. He had one son that he didn't get to see. The mother of his child, (Tracy Gavin aka Ayanna Asante) was still pregnant with his child when he was killed. His only son was born two months after he was killed. He had many cousins that loved him. He was very close with his cousin named Tracy, as well as his cousins, Big Red, Skeeter, India, Little Gordy, Gleniece, Opal and Freddie Ell. Edward often said his big cousin, Freddie Ell, was like an uncle to him. Edward had a heart of gold and was loved by many. He made friends everywhere he went. He was a honor roll student, on the wrestling and drama team at Vashon High School, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was very loving and very funny. He wrote poetry and had dreams of becoming an engineer, rapper, comedian and business man. He only has one son, Edward Ell, Jr. You can see some of his talents and dreams living on in his son.

On September 5, 2019 his mother, Rosie Louise Ell transitioned to join him in heaven. After trying to reach out to his father the family learned he passed away June 23, 2018. So he didn't just stop contacting, Rosie and his grandson. He was very ill then passed away.
