K. Jay “Mac” McKinley, 77, of Kokomo, passed away September 26, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born January 20, 1940 in Matthews, Indiana to Francis “Bud” and Lela (Mendenhall) McKinley. He married Nancy Jackson on July 1, 1994 in Kokomo and she survives.

Jay retired from Chrysler in Kokomo. He pastored several years over the years in Peru, Galveston, South Holland and was currently serving as senior pastor at Grace Fellowship in Logansport. He also ran a sharpening business for the last 22 years and served on the Galveston Cemetery Board for several years.

Surviving family includes his wife, Nancy McKinley of Kokomo; children, Jeff (Marsha) McKinley of Russiaville; Jim (Debbie) McKinley, Kokomo and Joanna Brock of Kokomo. Eight grandchildren, Jordan, Mason, Rachel, Logan, Lea, Jonathan, Maria and Joshua and four great grandchildren, Naomi, Collin, Theodore and Maddux. Jay is also survived by one brother, Jon McKinley and one sister, Judy Smelser. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Janet Anderson; sister, Rose and four brothers, Dale, Jim, Dean and Billy.

Funeral services September 30, 2017 at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Jim Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery. Visitation Sept. 29th at the funeral home and one hour before service time on Saturday. Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston arrangements.
