Dr. Haldeman's parents were John Elon Halderman and Almeda Jane Norman. Haldeman was a chiropractor and an amateur archaeologist. Haldeman married Wanda Eva Peters. Together they had a son, Jerry Noel Haldeman. Later Haldeman married Winnifred Josephine Fletcher. Together they had five children, Scott, Angkor Lee, Edith Lynne, and twins, Kaye and Maye Haldeman. Haldeman died at the age of 72 when his plane hit hidden power lines when he was coming in for a landing.
