Our sweet mother, JoAnn “Jodi” Gibson of Wichita Falls, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls with Chaplain Starkovich Forster, officiating. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Jodi was born on June 24, 1945 to the late Herbert Nicholas and Edna Mae (Snyder) Jones in Checotah, Oklahoma. She moved to Wichita Falls in 1976 and owned her own business for many years. Later, she worked as a floral designer until her retirement. Jodi moved to her lake property and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. The family described Jodi as being “sweet and salty”. She loved gardening, working in the yard, and her Dallas Cowboys.

Jodi was preceded in death by her parents; a stepfather, Bob Jordan; brothers, Ray Jones and Bill Jones; and sister, Virginia Jones.

She is survived by her daughters, Shawna Davis and Sherry Nunn and husband, John; her sons, Fred Dodson and wife, Stacy of Independence, KS. and Ron Dodson, all of Wichita Falls; her grandchildren, Charli Lovelace, Kylie Provence, Lauren Pierce, Courtney Provence, MaKayla Davis, Tayler Dodson, MaKenna Davis, Jory Dodson, Troy Dodson, Jonathon Nunn, and Trae Dodson; her great-grandchildren, McKenzie, McKalyn, and Dylan Hubbard, Aby Williams, Audrianna and Aliyah Mendoza, and Jayden, Liam, Beckett Nunn; a brother, Wendell Jordan of Holiday Island, AR.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 P.M. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
