Emily Davis Hall entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the age of 97. She was a native of Donaldsonville, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA.
Beloved wife of the late James Madison Hall. Loving mother of Dora H. Gaskin (Lt. Gen. Walter E. Gaskin, USMC) (Ret.) of North Carolina and Bertha Hall of New Orleans, LA. Devoted grandmother of Ronald Gaskin. Daughter of the late Victoran and Dorastine “Dora” Ayo Davis. Sister of the late Victor Davis, Sr., Cecile Davis Smith, and Louis Davis. Aunt of the late Cecile M. White, Marion Robinson, and Regina Davis. Sister-in-law of the late Mr. and Mrs. O.B. Smith of Chicago, IL. Godmother of the late Norma Lewis. Emily is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Rhema Ministry, Second Free Mission Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Second Free Mission Baptist Church, 1228 Burdette St., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
