Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy Allene Collins, 88, were held on September 25th, 2017, at Chester Baptist Church. Interment followed at Nebo Methodist Church Cemetery near Ackerman, MS, with Revs. Rob Faulk and Steve Jordan officiating. Visitation was held Monday, September 25 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Chester Baptist Church.
A native of Choctaw County, Mrs. Collins was born on October 17th, 1928. She worked as a Key Punch Operator until her passing on September 23rd, 2017. She was a resident of Ackerman.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Rutledge of Byram, MS; sister, Nettie Marzelle Havard of Decatur, AL; four grandchildren, Cindy Garrett DePriest and husband Andrew, Lesia Harris and husband, Donnie, Michael C. Bruce, Ronald A. Rutledge; 6 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Oswalt, Stephanie Garrett, Hanna Harris, Skyler Rutledge, Destiny Rudledge and Grace DePriest and great-grandchild, Addie Marie Oswalt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Henry Collins; her parents, Russ and Clara Perry; a grandson, Marcus S. Bruce; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
