OBITUARY: Menomonee Falls News Oct 22, 1909 "John Wilt Dies After a Short Illness. In less than a week's illness resulting from an attack of pneumonia John Wilt, a well known farmer and resident of Menomonee died at his home on last Sunday night. He was born on the farm where he died Nov. 9, 1854. He was always like in the township. He married Mary Narr and of this union 12 children were born, seven of whom with the wife survive to mourn their loss. The news of his sudden death was very much regretted by his neighbors and friends. Mr. Wilt was a good neighbor, a splendid citizen and an upright man. He was always ready to help a friend and faithful in every way. He always enjoyed good heath and was in no way alarmed when the cold set in on him a week ago.
