Following a long illness, Mrs. Clara Hilger passed away at her home in Menomonee Falls Dec, 29. Mrs. Hilger was a native of Germany, where she was born in 1828. She was married to William J. Hilger in 1850 at Granville; he died about fifteen years ago.
There are surviving her four sons and four daughters: Dr. W. H. of Milwaukee, Dr. Carl of West Bend, Iowa; Anton of Milwaukee, John and Mrs. Anna Lauer of Appleton, Mrs. Margaret Diekman of Melrose, Minn.; Mrs. Leonard Goetz of Richfield and Mrs.. Clara Severa of the Falls.
The funeral was held Tuesday morning from St. Mary's church, Rev. A.
M. Dentinger officiating. Interment took place in the family lot at St. Anthony's parish at Fussville."
