Reverend Mark Derise, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, will be the Celebrant of the Mass. Lectors will be Shelia Bourque and Angie Chachere. Gift Bearers will be Jamie Falcon Robin and Nicole Cormier Martin. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace", "The Old Rugged Cross", "On Eagles' Wings", "J'irai la voir un jour" and "How Great Thou Art."
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Toby J. Richard and Casey J. Richard and his wife, Melineh; one sister, Vickie Falcon and her husband, Nalton "Big Boy"; two brothers, Ricky Cormier and his wife, Dolores and Kenneth Cormier; and one grandchild, Remy G. Richard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Allen "Brud" Cormier and Lula Mae Sonnier Cormier; one sister, Kathleen Cormier Credeur and one brother Joseph Paul Cormier.
Jennifer Cormier was a native of Lafayette, Louisiana and a resident of Scott for most of her life. She worked in Customer Service at the Acadiana Mall for many years, and was also a CCD teacher at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School. Ms. Cormier enjoyed visiting with friends, never met a stranger, and upon meeting her for the first time she would always know your life story by the end of the conversation. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pallbearers will be Toby Richard, Casey Richard, Ryan Cormier, Shannon Falcon, Lloyd Chachere and Blake Chachere.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Remy Richard, Colt Cormier, Cameron Robin, Ricky Cormier, Kenneth Cormier and Jake Cormier.
A Rosary will be recited on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille's SCOTT Location.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
