Portsmouth - Joshua D. Sykes, 26, he departed this life on September 4, 2017. He was the son of Carl Whitehead and Ayanna Sykes. Joshua was a loving, joyful person and loved his music. In addition to his parents, he leaves to his memories his grandmothers, Linda Sykes and Carolyn Whitehead; grandfather, Junious Sykes; great grandmother, Irene Gainey. He will also be missed by five brothers, three sisters and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held 4-7pm Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1248 N. George Washington Highway, Chesapeake. A Life Celebration Service will be held 12:00 noon Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Zion Baptist Church, 225 Hatton Street, Portsmouth, Virginia 23704. The family has entrusted J. T.
