LaVerne Lee Aaron, 78, Marion, passed away in Marion General Hospital at 7:48 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017. She was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, on December 25, 1938, to the late Howard and Margaret (Jackson) Foster.

LaVerne was a 1956 graduate of Glassport High School in Pennsylvania. She married Regis E. Aaron on December 22, 1956, and he passed away on July 20, 1985. She worked for Brunswick Bowling in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. Postal Service in Pennsylvania. LaVerne was a member of Sewickley Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her children, Dr. David (Karen) Aaron, Marion, and Michael (Sarah) Aaron, Houston; grandchildren, Dr. Geoffrey Aaron and Dr. Kevin (Natalie) Aaron; and brother, George (Loretta) Foster.

In addition to her parents and her loving husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel and Joseph, and her sisters, Vivian, Bess, and Rhoda.

The family will have a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, 2300 Greenock Buena Vista Rd., McKeesport, PA 15135. Pastor Eric Glisan will be officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
