She fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith. II Timothy 4:7

Mom was welcomed into heaven on September 25, 2017 at 83 years old after a 9 month debilitating illness.

She was born December 20, 1933 and raised in Marcus Hook, PA, the youngest child of Margaret and Clyde Lockamy.

She met our Dad at beautiful Sunset Park and they were married May 5, 1956 and then Lancaster County became her home, living outside of Gap and then Nickel Mines, PA.

They spent 61 years putting each other above themselves giving us a beautiful example of what married love should look like.

Mom enjoyed going to auctions, yard sales, doll collecting and finding a bargain.

She was then so happy to pass her good buys on to anyone who could use them.

Mom dedicated her life to raising and loving her family and to describe her life in just a few short words seems impossible.

She was a homemaker, making a home for not only her husband and children, but creating a place where everyone who entered felt welcome.

Her love for children overflowed in everything she did. She was a Sunday School teacher at her home church, The First Baptist Church of Pequea, for over 38 years.

She enjoyed her 2 to 4 year-old class and would seek out those who may have needed just a little more attention or a lap to curl up on.

Mom was in her glory when grandchildren came along and thoroughly enjoyed being a part of everything they did.

Having a family was all she ever wanted and in her last weeks she could say her cup was full and running over with blessings. Even the granddogs knew they were loved.

She will be forever loved by her other half, John (Jack) Robinson, who so faithfully cared for her during this difficult illness; her children: Wendy and Dwight Miller, Leisa and George Hoover, J. Bradley and Laurie Robinson; Kimberly and Kerry Eltman. She gave each one of us unconditional love that will always be cherished.

She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, and great-grandson as well as her nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.

A service honoring her life will be held on Thursday, Sept. 28th at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church of Pequea, 6062 Old Phila. Pike, Gap, PA.

Viewing to take place Wednesday, Sept 27th from 6:00 to 8:00pm and also one hour prior to service at 10:00am on Thursday; all held at the church.

We grieve deeply, but we don't grieve as a family without hope. We know Mom is at home resting in the arms of her Savior.

If you wish to do something in Mom's memory, we ask that you think of someone who may need encouraged and send them a card.

Mom was blessed to receive so many cards during her illness that meant so much to her.

She would want someone else to receive that kind of blessing.

And if you feel led to make a financial donation, kindly consider sending to the children's ministry at The First Baptist Church of Pequea.

Thank you to everyone who has been so faithful in upholding our family in prayer as we walked alongside this very precious wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
