He was united in marriage with Gladys Troyer March 5, 1912. To this union, one son Harold and two daughters, Opal and Genevie were born.
He was converted and united with the M. E. church at Mt. Erie about the year 1915.
He enlisted in the United States Army May 3, 1917 and was honorably discharged February 14, 1919 with character excellent, and service honest and faithful.
He with his family moved to Cisne about eight years ago and he had an interest in a garage north of Cisne for about two years. About four years ago he began work for the Pure Oil company, and continued in their employ until his passing, April 7, 1941, age 44 years, 4 months and 18 days.
Willie was killed instantly in an automobile accident while enroute to Wayne City. Riding with him in the death car was Miss Lena Wells, 23, of Fairfield, who escaped with some bruises and body injuries.
He leaves to mourn his passing his faithful companion, his son, and two daughters, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas King; two brothers, Henry and Ivan King; and four sisters.
