Shirley Givans Arocho was the daughter of Damon Givans (deceased) and Virginia (Trent) Givans, and the sister of Brenda (Givans) Berry. She had two nieces Dana Berry and Marlena Berry. She was marriedB to Aaron Victor Wiseman in 1965, the same year she graduated from Meade County High School. That marriage later ended in divorce. She worked at the PX on post in Fort Knox where she met Jim Arocho, whom she married December 30, 1985. Shirley was a juvenille diabetic from the age of 12, with complications of the disease claiming her life at age 40.
