Bobbie Cochran, 94 yrs, went home to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, September 25, 2017 at The Homestead of Sherman.

Visitation will be held Thursday 6-8pm Sept 28, 2017 at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11am September 29, 2017 at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Entombment will follow at Chapel on the Hill in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Kelly Bickerstaff and Dr. Don Goates will officiate.

Bobbie was born November 8, 1922 in Commerce, TX, to the late William Mancil Cochran and Catherine (Banks) Cochran.

Bobbie was a devoted Christian, who belonged to The Crutchfield Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She worked as a nanny for many years and as a bookkeeper. She very was talented at counted cross stitch, crochet and hand craft.

Bobbie traveled the world with her late husband Andy. She was a foster Mom who opened her home to many children and students from TWU, supplying housing, food, and a quite place to study when needed. She embraced every one with a nonjudgmental heart of kindness and had a great since of humor that was surrounded by her infectious laugh.

Bobbie is survived by her children, Sheri Love and husband Jerry of Whitesboro, Darlene Hicks and husband Tommy of Achille, OK., Don Goates and wife Pat of Cleburne, TX.; grandchildren, Amy Love, Zaundria Love, Geneva Love, Chad Willson and wife Jenny, Renita Brown, Sarah Wade and husband Jory, Sandy Poulain and husband James, G.G. Goates Brickhouse and husband Mark, Sunnae Goates Hiler and husband Rick, and Guy Goates and wife Elizabeth.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Jana Lynn Hammett and Bobbie Karen Hammett, one brother, Manuel Cochran, and four sisters, Leota, Catherine, Emma, and Elouise.
