Betty Maxine Talbot, 87, of Creve Coeur, passed away at 1:33 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at home.

Born August 6, 1930 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Henry and Margaret (Southern) Loftin, she married Rev. Eugene A. Talbot on March 7, 1953 in Santa Barbara, California. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2015 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by three sisters; five brothers; and three infant siblings.

Surviving are two sons, Rev. Ronald (Sandra) Talbot of Creve Coeur and Rev. Dale (Donna) Talbot of Colona; one daughter, Cheryl (Michael) Parker of Dillon, Colorado; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Betty was a member of the Christian Life Church in Creve Coeur.

She taught school at Christian Life Academy for 30 years.

Betty loved spending time with her family and enjoyed her flowers.

Her funeral will be at noon Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Christian Life Church in Creve Coeur. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be given to her church at 129 S. Highland St. Creve Coeur, IL 61610.
