Marcell was born Sept. 6, 1910 in Byron, Wyoming to William Walter Graham and Julia Idella Sessions. He had a twin sister, Marcella, who preceded him in death.
He met and married Clarissa Lindsay. She died in 1954.
He later married Gladys Boswell, divorced; married Elaine Moore, divorced; he later married Martha Hansen, divorced.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon), and served in many callings.
He was Chief of Police in Midvale for some time. He became one of the first peace officers to attend the FBI Academy and won one of the highest awards given for pistol marksmanship.
He was manager of the Midvale Celery Plant, was a Salt Lake County Sheriff Deputy; and was a top salesman for Rocky Mountain Equipment Company.
He became warden of the Utah State Prison; served as councilman for both Sandy and South Ogden; was always active in the Kiwanis Club and the Elks Lodge. Marcell was a member of the Toastmasters and the Footprinters and was a member of the Utah Pheasant Society.
Survivors: son, Vivan (Tish), Syracuse; daughter, Glenda Johnson (Richard), Sandy; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great -great-grandson; sister, Ila Winzenreid, Benjamin, Utah; brother, Ivan "Gray", Clearfield.
Funeral services Friday, June 21, 2002, at 12:00 noon, at the Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State St., where friends may call Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
