FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - John "Jack" E. Brooks, 69, of Falling Waters, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, at his home.
Born Aug. 5, 1933, in Poolesville, Md., he was the son of the late James Evans and Anna Marie Titus Brooks.
He is survived by one daughter, Debra J. Ebersole of Frederick, Md.; four sons, John E. Brooks Jr. of Georgia, Michael E. Brooks of California, Charles P. Brooks of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Stephen E. Brooks of Hagerstown; two sisters, Joyce Nusbaum of Boonsboro, and Helen Kulp of Gettysburg, Pa.; four brothers, James Brooks of Rohrersville, Donald Brooks of Gaithersburg, Md., Robert Brooks of Poolesville, and Raymond Brooks of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church, Poolesville. Burial will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville, Md.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville, Md.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 11331 Amherst Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20902.
