Velma Virginia Corban Willis passed away on March 6, 2007, in Colleyville, Texas, with family and friends at her side.

She was born in Arthur, Missouri, on January 22, 1921, at her family home.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Patricia Phillips, her husband, Jamie Phillips, and their beloved grandson, Ryan Phillips, all of Colleyville; her son, Donald Paul Willis and his wife Carol Ann Sutton Willis of Minden, La.; one brother, Elden Corban, his wife Lee Ann, their children and grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, William Robert "Bill" Willis, and son, William Robert Willis Jr., and two brothers, R.S. Corban and Paul Corban.

She will be remembered by all as a loving wife, mother, friend and devout Christian.

She will be laid to rest in Rich Hill, Mo., at Green Lawn Cemetery by the side of her husband and oldest son on March 11, 2007.

A memorial is planned for a later date in Flint, Texas, at Faith Community Church with her devoted pastor, Mark Skorheim, presiding.
