Janet Lynn Watson, age 62, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 with her loving and devoted daughter, Rebecca by her side at the Golden Living Center in Portage, IN. She was born to Robert and Helen Lucas on September 30, 1954 in Chicago, IL. Janet is survived by former husband, Johnnie E. Watson, Sr.; children: Rebecca (Chris) Pahl, Johnnie E. (Amber Thornberry) Watson, Jr., Lisa Smedley and April (Jeremy) Carter; grandchildren: Rickey Baird, Brandon Davis Jr., Blake Davis, Brett Davis, Chloe Pahl, Courtney Pahl, Ashtyn Corbin and Kaylie Watson; great grandchild, Rickey Baird, Jr.; brothers: Robert Lucas and Darrel Lucas; sisters, Carol (Rick) Gaskey and Sue Frazier; a host of other loving family members and precious friends. Preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Ryan Watson. Janet was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She adored her family. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. in the MAIN CHAPEL at the RIDGELAWN FUNERAL HOME, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 (219)980-5555. Burial will be at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary, IN. Janet will be dearly missed by her loving, devoted family and precious friends. God Grant Her Eternal Peace.
