Peter J. Chiochios
WATERSMEET, Mich. -- Peter J. Chiochios, 79, of Watersmeet, died Monday, June 22, 1998, at the Lillian E. Kerr Nursing Home in Phelps, Wis.
He was born on Aug. 11, 1918, in Bessemer. Peter, formerly of Waukegan, Ill., had lived in the Land O' Lakes-Watersmeet area for the past three years.
Mr. Chiochios served in the United States Army-Air Force during World War II. He was retired from the state of Illinois Tollway system. He was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Patrice F. Chiochioa, Watersmeet; a •on, Harry Mark (Peggy) Chiochios, Waukegan; two daughters, Pamalia (Scott) Beggs, Seabeck, Wash., and Theresa Terri" (Homer) Cox, Plymouth, Minn.; five sisters, Angeline, Athens and Tula, all of Chicago, Georgia, of Virginia, and Sandra, Merrill, Wis.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and Ernie; and a sister, Irene.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church in Land O' Lakes, with the Rev. John A. Siedachlag Sr., officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Minocqua, Wis.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the Hope Lutheran Church, Land O' Lakes, Wis.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home, Eagle River, Wis., is in charge of arrangements.
