Robert E. "Bob" Evans, age 84, of Dayton, passed away March 18, 2022. He was born August 15, 1937 in West Liberty, KY to the late Eulys and Bertie Evans. In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Evans and son, Roger Evans.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Deloris Pollard (James); grandchildren: Heather Mercer and Megan Mercer; great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Kory, Karson, and Kendyl; sisters-in-law: Pearlie, Margie and Brenda; brother-in-law, Bobby; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from General Motors after 32 years of service. Bob enjoyed talking on his CB radio and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 25, 2022 from 12:30 to 1:30pm at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road where the funeral service will begin at 1:30pm. Pastor Greg Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
