Laura Mary Speer passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, April 19th at the age of 89 after having said goodbye to her many friends and her family. All those that knew her knew that she made friends easily, had a wonderfully open heart and loved to talk about just about anything but particularly her early days in Oklahoma. Laura was born in a small town in southern Oklahoma where she grew up, met and married her husband, Harold and raised two sons, Eran and Dwayne. It was only after her husband retired that they moved to Washington state to be near their younger son Dwayne, daughter-in-law Donnie, and grandchildren.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband Harold Lee Speer and elder son Eran Lee Speer as well as one older brother, James and two younger sisters, June and Margarette.

Laura is survived by one son, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 pm, Thursday April 24th at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church (Chapel), 520 South Garfield Street, Kennewick, WA.

By her passing, Laura has left a large hole in the hearts of very many people who will never again be the same. May she rest in peace forever.
