Delores Ross, 85 of Virden, IL passed away Tuesday September 19, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center Springfield, IL.
Delores was born August 26, 1932 in Virden, IL. She graduated from Virden High School in 1951 and married Theodore C. "Bud" Ross November 8, 1952 in Virden, IL. Delores formerly worked for the State of Illinois and at the Macoupin County Courthouse. She formerly owned and operated Virden Coin Wash and was an avid Virden Bulldog sports fan.
Surviving Delores is her daughter, Carroll L. (Jeff) Millburg of Thayer, IL, son, Ray J. (Stacy) Ross of Springfield, IL, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sisters Arlene Love-Ballinger of Virden, IL and Lola Lemarr of Springfield, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was her husband, Theodore C. "Bud" Ross, and a sister, Linda Guthrie.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday September 24, 2017 at Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home Virden, IL with funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Monday September 25, 2017 at Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home Virden, IL. Rev. Ron Bryant and Rev. Stephen Gocking officiating. Burial will be in Virden Cemetery Virden, IL.
Memorials may be made to Virden Fire Department and Rescue Squad or Prairieland Ambulance Virden, IL.
