Brian Marius Jorgensen, the son of Mark Jorgensen and Kathy Landon, who was raised by his grandparents Robert and Carolyn Landon, was born December 31, 1982, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa and died September 20, 2017, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 34 years, 8 months, and 19 days.

Brian was baptized at the Brayton Lutheran Church in Brayton, Iowa. He attended the Atlantic Community Schools graduating in 1993. Brian lived with his grandpa and grandma Robert and Carolyn Landon for many years until he moved to the Salem Home in Elk Horn, Iowa in mid- September of 2016.
Brian loved listening to music and loved anything electronic. He enjoyed watching all the blinking lights and he also enjoyed Mylar balloons. But above all he loved his grandpa Bob.

Waiting for him in Heaven are his sister Holly Jorgensen; his grandpa Robert Landon; his cousin Jamie Landon; and his grandma who also helped care for him Velma Harter.

Survivors include his grandmother Carolyn Landon of Exira, Iowa; his brother Shane Jorgensen and significant other Caitlin Sprague of Brayton, Iowa; his sister Anne and husband Charles Slayton of Adair, Iowa; his grandfather Marvin Jorgensen of Exira, Iowa; his aunts and uncles Randy and wife Pennie Landon of Eaton, Colorado, Dwaine and wife Jodi Landon of Seward, Nebraska, Scott and wife Teresa Landon of Davenport, Iowa, Darreld and wife Barbara Landon of Fairfax, Iowa, Denise and husband John Asberry of Exira, Iowa, Carol and husband Billy Coats of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his special cousins and aunt Annette Young, Jordan Gearheart, Braylyn Coats, and Phyllis Jensen, other cousins and a host of special relatives and friends who helped with Brian’s care over the years.

The family will meet with friends Friday evening, September 22, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira, Iowa. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Doug Opp on Saturday morning September 23, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira, Iowa. Interment will be in the Exira Cemetery in Exira, Iowa. The honorary casket bearers will be Randy Landon, Dwaine Landon, Scott Landon, Darreld Landon, Billy Coats, John Asberry, Kirk Landon, Spencer Landon, Charles Slayton, Noah Landon, and Levi Landon. The casket bearers will be Joseph Landon, Charlie Asberry, Brent Asberry, Cory Fowble, Landon Coats, and Nacu Hernandez.
