Katie Cummings, 83, of Moody, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007, at her Moody residence. Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Eagle Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Jon Gartman and the Rev. Doyle Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Moody Cemetery under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, McGregor. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cole Funeral Home, 1113 W. 5th St. in McGregor. Katie was born in Coryell County on Nov. 19, 1923, the daughter of Charlie and Winnie Robinson. She married Joe Ben Cummings on Jan. 2, 1943. Katie was a member of Eagle Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; and daughter, Kathy Cummings. Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Alton and husband, Darrell; sons, Jim Cummings and wife, Jeanette and Scott Cummings and wife, Karen; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, all of Moody. Katie will always be known as a "great" grandmother to anyone who knew her. She will truly be missed.
