Brian J. Fisher, 50, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 29, 1967. Onery and loving father to Shelby Anne Fisher, beloved son to Judy Fisher and the late Donald Fisher, cherished brother to Laura Stockwell and husband Bill, uncle to Matthew, Mitchell and Brian Stockwell, loving fiancé to Shellie McKenzie and daughters Chloe and Kylie. Brian's biological father, John Cligrow, passed before Brian was old enough to remember him and was adopted by stepfather Don Fisher. Brian was a science teacher at Francis Howell Middle School for 14 years. He enjoyed exploring state parks, hiking, biking and being in the outdoors. Brian loved spending time with his daughter Shelby and fiancé Shellie McKenzie and his many close friends.
Service: A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 4pm-8pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Charles. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 2pm at Sunrise Methodist Church, 7116 Twin Chimneys Blvd, O’Fallon. Burial will follow at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
Brian’s wishes were that everyone attending his services dress casual and be comfortable.
Memorial donations are preferred to Stand up to Cancer or Sunrise Methodist Church.
