Paulette Jean James, 68 of Muldrow, Oklahoma passed away on September 21, 2017 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. She was born on February 17, 1949 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Lillian Viola (Gish) Edwards Ferguson.

She was married to Thomas Willard James on February 23, 1965 in Poteau, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2003. Mrs. James was a homemaker.

Survivors are: 2 daughters, Jean James of the home and Georgette Gentry and husband, Max of Rudy, AR, 2 sons, Dale James and wife Serena of Hulbert, OK and Phillip James and wife Levona of Huntsville, AL, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Rhonda Ruth Thorpe of Muldrow, OK, 1 brother, Jimmy Dale Edwards of Wister, OK.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas James; 1 daughter, Ginger Arlene James and her mother, Lillian Ferguson.

Graveside services will be at 11 am on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Knot Hole Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma.
