Fred was born near Wolsey and married Minnie Cloeter, Oct. 24, 1917, at Wolsey. They farmed in the Wessington and Wolsey area until 1944, when they moved to Huron. Fred passed away at the Huron hospital.
He was survived by his wife; one son, William, Wolsey; and one daughter, Marlene, Mrs. Orvin Rittel, Highmore; 5 sisters, Martha Polzin, Elsa Peterson, Erna Riedel, Olga Meyer, and Clara Jungeman; and 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Otto and Paul; and one sister, Ella Erion.
