Virginia Ann "Ginger" Fisher, nee Cattarozzle passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at her West Bend home on January 1, 2008. She was born January 24, 1947 in Waukesha to the late Stanley and Marlys (nee Lund) Cattarozzle.
She was raised in Waukesha, graduating from Waukesha South High School before she married Kenneth Fisher on March 30, 1968. Ginger enjoyed being a stay at home mother to her two daughters. She was a hard worker and was most recently employed by Cedar Community as a housekeeper at Cedar Ridge where she enjoyed the relationships she formed with her residents.
She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth, 2 daughters Wendy (Ben) Gonring of Madison and Kim (Jason) Holien of Eagle Lake, MN and seven grandchildren: Jacob, Zachary, Noah and Seth Gonring and Caiden, Abigail and Olivia Holien. She is further survived by her mother-in-law Floy Fisher, her brother Tom (Anita) Cattarozzle, her two sisters Sandy (Robert) Alexander and Annette (Gary) Schmitt as well as other family and friends.
Ginger was truly happiest spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was swimming, fishing or just watching them participate in various activities. They were the love of her life.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 4, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in West Bend with Rev. Joseph Fisher officiating. Please meet at church for the services. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
