OBITUARY

Rhonda Jo Richards age 52 of Moorhead, IA formerly of Defiance, IA passed away on Thursday, September 21st at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.

Rhonda was born on April 23, 1965 in Seward, NE to LaVern Emil and Mary Joan (Ihnen) Wolff. In May 1983, Rhonda graduated from Irwin-Kirkman High School in Irwin, IA. Growing up, she had a strong love for flowers, pets and especially motorcycles. For many years Rhonda was a part of the HOG Harley Davidson Support Group. In her spare time, Rhonda loved riding her motorcycle, growing flowers at her home, and spending time with her “fur babies”, Harley, Pudge and Izzy. For multiple years, Rhonda worked as a supervisor at Menards in Shelby, IA. After leaving there, she worked at Little Flower Haven Nursing Home in Earling, IA. Then she became caretaker in their home for her husband Jerry’s mother, the late Donabelle Ginsbach.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her foster parents, Charles & Eunice Goetzinger, with whom she lived from 7th grade to after graduation; her father Lavern Wolff; and her brother Kenneth Wolff.

Rhonda is survived by her husband Jerry Ginsbach of Moorhead, IA; foster sister, Julie Tigges of Nevada, Iowa; her mother Mary Jansen of Rapid City, SD; stepmother Marilyn Wolff of Hancock, IA; sisters: Veranna Huscher of Sioux City, IA, Laverne (Brian) Frybarger of Rapid City, SD, LaVonne (Ken Stein) Schmidt of Rapid City, SD; brother James Wolff of Quapaw, OK; stepsisters Sherri Claussen of Avoca, IA and Julie Guyer Petry of Papillion, NE; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
