Sheila J. Moore, 74, of Norwich passed away on Sunday morning, September 3, 2017 following a long and courageous battle with heart disease. She was born on January 4, 1943 in Norwich to the late Daniel and Marion (Phillips) Foster. Sheila was known as a strong willed and independent person. Her working years included positions with Victory Markets and Howard Johnson Hotel, followed by years of private home health care and a position at the Chenango Valley Home until her retirement. Sheila is survived by her children, James and Sandra Moore; Gary Moore; and Debra and Brian Cooper, all of Norwich; her brothers, Scott and Kathy Foster, of Hubert, NC; and Daniel and Charlene Foster, of Norwich; She also leaves behind several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Tina Ashton, and Pam Coryell. A graveside service for Sheila will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 14, at Mt. Hope Cemetery with Pastor Rachel Morse officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich.
