Walter J. Mueller
August 13, 1927 - September 18, 2017

Walter Mueller peacefully left this world on September 18, 2017 in the close company of family as he went to the side of his beloved wife and dearest friend, Nell. Walter, referred to by family and friends as Dub, was born August 13, 1927 to Walter H. Mueller and Lilly Sunday Mueller. Dub joined the Navy in August 1948 and served in WWII and the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in May 1953. Dub and Nell married in 1949. When Dub returned to Austin and his bride, he worked for W. O. Harper Electrical and Plumbing until 1964 when he and Nell started their own electrical business, Texas Electric. The company is still in business today and managed by their children Sid Mueller, Anne Phares and Rod Mueller.

Dub was a kind and generous man who taught his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to be kind and generous as well and to always do right in the eyes of God. Many kids along the way were positively influenced by Dub’s firm but gentle ways while being coached in baseball, being lead through scouting, or just by being at the house as they were friends of Sid, Anne or Rod.

Dub was a gracious steward of his church and was a very active and involved member of St. John’s Lutheran in South Austin and St. Peter’s Lutheran in Marble Falls. Dub was a faithful man and lived his life in the spirit of the Lord.

Dub was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nell Klingemann Mueller, Bernice Mueller Brooks, Dewey Frank Mueller. He is survived by his children; Sidney Walter Mueller, Anne Mueller Phares(Graham Leland Phares- d.), Rodney Frank Mueller (Sandi Wilcoxen Mueller).
