Maxine James, 93, of Willow Springs, Missouri departed this life on September 19, 2017, at Willow West Apartments, Willow Springs, Missouri.

She was born April 19, 1924 in Willow Springs, Missouri, the only child of Robert and Mae (Eidson) Williams.

Maxine married her childhood sweetheart, Lyle James, on March 21, 1942, and stood beside him as he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He precedes her in death, along with her parents.

She is survived by her four sons, David and wife, Linda, of Licking, MO, Randall and wife, Karen, of Branson, MO, Timothy and wife, Cindy, of Blue Springs, MO, and Matthew and wife, Jimalee, of Willow Springs, MO; seven grandchildren, Amy Jo James, Robert James, Katie Montgomery, Jeremy Arnold, Megan James, Lindsey Schwalm, and Taylor James; five great-grandchildren, Sydney and Sophie Montgomery, Kolby, Brady, and Audrey Jo James, and Baby Schwalm expected in April.

Maxine accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church.

In addition to Lyle, Maxine's four boys and her grandchildren were the centers of her life.

She took pride in her home and always enjoyed times together with her family.

Maxine and Lyle loved to travel, sharing numerous trips together in a new Chevrolet.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Trinity Baptist Church, Willow Springs.

Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs. Interment will be in Willow Springs City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
