Professional Football Player, Actor. For eight years (1961 to 1968), he played at the halfback, flanker, tight end and wide receiver positions in the National Football League with the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams. Born Bernard Terry Casey, he was raised in Ohio where he attended East High School. He enrolled at Bowling Green State University, where he played collegiate football and was a contributor to the Falcons' National Championship in 1959 (United Press International Small College Poll). In addition, he was a track and field star who earned a spot for the 1960 Olympic trials. Selected by the San Francisco 49ers during the 1st round (9th overall pick), he totaled 105 career regular season games. In 1967, he distinguished himself when he received Pro-Bowl honors while with the Los Angeles Rams. After retiring from football, Casey (who received a Master's of Fine Arts degree) went on to a successful acting career. Among his films include "Guns of the Magnificent Seven" (1969), "Tick....Tick....Tick" (1970), "Sharky's Machine" (1981), "Never Say Never Again" (1983) and "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" (1988). His TV Credits include "The Streets of San Francisco", "Murder, She Wrote" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine".
