Agnes C. Kragness, 88, Wahpeton, N.D., died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at St. Catherine’s Living Center, Wahpeton. Agnes Cornelia Foss, daughter of Andrew and Cornelia (Kalstad) Foss, was born July 10, 1922, in Brinsmade, N.D. Following graduation from Brinsmade High School, she moved to Fargo, N.D., where she attended Business School and worked at Metropolitan Savings and Loan for 12 years. On Dec. 26, 1953, she was united in marriage to Joseph Kragness at Minnewaukan, N.D. They moved to California and were there 10 years before moving to Wahpeton. When Joseph retired from the North Dakota State College of Science in 1980, they moved to Big McDonald Lake, near Perham, Minn. They moved to Fargo in 1989, thereafter living in Wahpeton. Joseph died Nov. 17, 2010.
Agnes is survived by: her son, Duane Kragness, and her daughter, Donna Harlow; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; her grandson, Blake Kragness; her brother, Richard; and her sister, Marie Arnston.
