She worked for several State agencies as a Librarian as well as a Librarian for Thrall ISD. Geneva really loved doing her job. She was passionate about everything she did. Geneva was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She always put her family first. She was a long time devoted member at Knobbs Springs Baptist Church.
Geneva is preceded in death by both her parents, and Sister Laquita Lawhon.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years James Cleyon Davis, son Jay Davis and daughter Stacey (Davis) Blasingame and husband Scott. Brother-in-Laws Weldon Davis and wife Linda, and Gene Davis and wife Vickie; two Grandchildren, Nate Blasingame and Rebekah Blasingame, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Geneva’s Life will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 1, 2017 Knobbs Springs Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Knobbs Springs Cemetery.
